Hot on the heels of an easier, faster and smarter SDL Trados Studio 2014, it’s time to welcome the first round of service packs which bring a range of updates across the entire Translation Productivity platform – SDL Trados Studio, SDL Studio GroupShare and SDL MultiTerm Desktop.
The list of SP1 enhancements and fixes is long, so I’ll just name few of the exciting bits & pieces.
SDL Trados Studio
Enhanced Alignment for better TM quality – With Service Pack 1 the alignment tool is enriched with reviewing and editing functionality. Alignment results can be now refined by editing the content and the connections between the source and the target segments, ensuring the best possible data for your translation memories.
Improved handling for XML files – For all users dealing with complex XML files the embedded content filter setting will improve the experience by displaying any HTML tags within the file as Studio tags.
Localized help resources – Studio 2014 SP1 brings help resources, quick start guides and product video tutorials in four additional languages: German, French, Chinese and Japanese.
New integration possibilities for developers and organizations – Part of the SDL Trados Studio platform and after a beta phase, the new Integration API is now officially launched. It offers countless possibilities for developers and organizations to develop and integrate their own applications directly within the Studio environment.

Performance optimizations in the GroupShare Administration website area.
Additional permission settings for limiting access to licensing, infrastructure and background task information.
