In the words of worldwide actor and singing superstar Will Smith, “Welcome to Miami!” We’re getting very excited for #ata56, which is only a few days away. To give you a head start for the event, we have put together five things to do before, during and after the event.
1) Visit South Beach
No trip to Miami would be complete without visiting one of the most famous areas in Miami, South Beach. Often seen in the movies, everything here is always over the top and you’re never quite sure what might be going on each day. Whilst this may not be everyone’s cup tea, it is definitely a destination to consider.
2) Visit the #ata56 Photo Booth
Who doesn’t love a selfie? Pop over to the ATA Photo Booth during the Welcome Celebration (Wednesday, November 4, 5:30pm -7:30pm) and take a photo with friends and colleagues. Don’t forget to share them online, we’ll see you there!
3) Find out what type of translator you are
Visit the SDL booth and take our personality quiz to find the animal in you. Will you be a cunning fox, a socially smart penguin or a cool cat? Don’t forget to share your results with fellow attendees, friends and colleagues.
4) Zoological Wildlife Foundation
If you are extending your trip before or after the event then I highly recommend the Zoological Wildlife Foundation. This zoo was voted no.9 in the world in the Trip Advisor 2015 Travelers Awards and offers visitors the chance to encounter and interact with various reptiles, primates and mammals. If you are planning on visiting, a 24 hour booking in advance is required. Definitely worth it!
5) Visit SDL at the Tool Bar
Are you looking for one-on-one assistance/technical support? Visit the SDL team at the Tool Bar, where you will be able to get answers to your questions in 15 minute sessions. We will be at the tool bar during these hours:
- Thursday, November 5: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday, November 6: 8:30am – 6:00pm
- Saturday, November 7: 8:30am – 2:00pm
